Do you agree with the writer? Why? Give at least 3 examples to support your answ
I agree with the auther. Japanese English skill is more poor than other countries. However, it is a good idea for children to learn English early? I think it is not good to start learning from the first grade. They have to learn English than Japanese because many young Japanese can't use proper Japanese. I am one of them. I think many Japanese are proud of speaking fluent English than speaking proper Japanese. English is important, but Japanese is more important in our life. We should speak more correct Japanese because it is our mother tongue. I have learned English since I was first-year junior high school student. I think it is the good time. In a elementary school, there are a few people who can teach English. On the airticle, only about 4 percent of elementary school teachers are currently certified to teach English. And few can pronounce the language like a native speaker. It is a big problem. Those people will be trained, but it will cost much money. Is it really neccessary to train English teachers like native speakers out to spend much money?

Homework#11
This week's homework is to read an article from the Japan Times and give your opinion. http://search.japantimes.co.jp/member/member.html?ek20060110ks.htm
Do you agree or disagree with the author (who is Japanese). Please explain why in your blog.
I agree with the auther a little. However, I was shocked because I have not heard many men think like this article and there are not men like this article around me.
First, I can not understand many young men do not like to get close, get commited and become that most covered of conditions. In addition, men think women are a hassle and gifts cost money. If they have women who they love, it is normal to get close and know more each other. Then, they think about marriage someday. Moreover, gifts may cost money, but if they are feeling womens who they love in their mind, they should not mind paying much money. However, many men do not like these things. Passionate heart want for them. I think men like these are weak and have no sense of responsibility. Then, what are the solutions? Women make an effort for men? I thinik it depens on men's mind.
Next, many men are less interested in marriage and child-rearing. If they are young, they may not be able to think about these. However, if they are in late twenties and early thirties and have girlfriends, they have to think about marriage. I think they should have the responsibility for girlfriends' lives. Maybe men think this thought is heavy, but it is important for each other. If I am in late twenties and have a boyfriend, but he can not think about marrriage. I will break up him.

Homework#10 Table Manners
Today we discussed table manners from all over the world. Please answer the following questions in your blog.
Have you ever eaten in a foreign restaurant? Where? What did you eat? Did you make any mistakes? Please explain your experience. Did you learn anything?
Yes, I have. I have eaten in UK. I ate curry with my friends at the Indian restaurant. A waiter was probably Indian. He was very friendly and kind. We were worrying what we should have ordered because we have never eaten carry at a Indian restaurant. Then he advised us some curry, rice and nan bread, so we could have ordered some menus. After that, he served menues that we ordered. However, he served carry that we didn't order. He said " This is a service". We were happy and ate it. Then we finished eating and paid a bill. We calculated a bill and prepared money all together. Although a waiter gave us the account and we saw it, it was high than we thought. I think curry that a waiter said " This is a service." was not free. Perhaps he thought we didn't understand English well, so he recommended curry and said that is is free. It was the goodness of his heart, but it was annoying for us.
Waiters are interested in foreigners and talk with them skillfully. However, we mustn't fall for their line.

First, we talked and saw many international weddings and compared them with Japan. Please answer the following questions in your blog:
Since Japanese weddings are expensive, do you think having a massive wedding like Korea or UAE is a good idea? Eloping? Having it in a foreign location like Hawaii?
No, I do not think a massive wedding is a good idea because I want to celebrate a wedding modestly. I do not want to celebrate a wedding by many people, but I want to do it by parents, relatives and close friends. In addition, I think a massive wedding costs much money. I do not want to spend much money on a wedding. I want to save money and spend it on a newly-married life and a honeymoon. I think a wedding in a foreign country is a good idea and many Japanese women want to have it there. However, it is difficult for us reality because we have to spend much money on it.
What is your ideal wedding? What would you definitely do or wear or go to on that big day? Why is that important?
My ideal wedding is to celebrate a wedding at a small church in Europe with parents, relateves and close friends. I want to wear a wedding dress and take photos against the background of the sea. In addition, I want a famous pastry chef to make a wedding cake. Then, we will have a honeymoon in Europe about for 10 days.
I think it is important for parents to see their daughter in their wedding dress because it might be only once.

Homework#4
The English language has many proverbs and sayings about time.
Please explain what you think are the meanings of each of the 4 expressions
1. Time is money.
Time is as important as money, so you must not waste time. I think the reason is that you can not turn back the clock. You can spend the time only once. If you wasted time, you must regret that. Money is important for me, but time is more important than money for me. That is because if I wasted money, I might be able to manage. However, when I wasted time and wanted to turn back the clock, it is impossible. Therefore, time is more important than money for me.
2.A stitch in time saves nine.
You should be careful of everything in advance to fail. When you failed and notice, it will be too late. For example, in the test period, I often cram for the examination In Japanese, it is called "Ichiyazuke". I know I have to study for the examinaton too far in advance, but I can not do that. If I got a bad score test, I regret that I did not study for the examination too far in advance.
3.There's no time like the present.
You should do it now when you found what you want to do. If a chance came, you should get into action without hesitation. If you missed a chance, the chance might come again. If you thought it is a good chance, you have to do that now!!
4. Fashionable late
I think the meaning is that clothing, hairstyle, things, songs and persons have gone out now. They were very popular in those days, but they are not popular in these days. If my friend sang "tarako-tarako", I would say " You are fashionable late!"

Homework#3
Today we discussed the language of clothes. After listening to the lecture and the meaning of colors in clothing, answer the following questions:
1. Do you judge people according to what they wear? Why?
Yes, I do. If I don't know about the person, I would judge the person according to what he/she wears. It's impossible to know about his/her everything by clothing they wear, but we can get some information about him/her. If a girl wears like boy's clothing, I would think she is boyish. If a man wear all black clothing, I would think he is very cool. We can imagine him/her by clothing they wear. Although we cann't know about their everything by their clothing, we can imagine and know a little about them.
2. Do you think Japanese society puts an importance on clothing when judging other people from another country?
No, I don't think so. I think Japanese aren't interested in clothing of other people from another country but are interestend in their behavior. Their clothing aren't so different from Japanese, but their behavior are very different from Japanese. Therefore, Japanese judge other people from another country by their behavior than by their clothing.
3. What colors are you wearing now? Do they reflect your mood?
I am wearing beige sweat shirt, black skirt and brown shoes. They don't reflect my mood. I like dark color. I like black, gray, brown, beige and navy. I don't have pink, yellow and orange clothing. Even when I am very happy, I wear dark color clothing. Even in summer or spring, I wear them. I wear clothing regardless of my mood and season.
Next week we will discuss friends, please prepare by answering the following questions:
1. What are some subjects that you will never discuss with a friend?
I can talk everything with close friends, but I have never takled about my parents' salary with them. I often talk about my part-time money with my friends. I think it's normal for us to do, but talking about parents salary is not good. It's an invasion of privacy. In my opinion, parents don't want other people to know their salary because Some homes get high salaries, other homes low salaries. I will not talk about this in the future.
2. Do you have different friends for different parts of your life? If so, how are they different to you? Do you talk about different things? Go to different places? Give me some examples.
Yes, I have. I have some types of friends. I have a friend whose hobbies is similar to my hobbeis. We often talk about music, books and photos. I enjoy talking with her every time. In addition, I have a friend whose fashin is similar to me. We talk about fashion and go to shopping. Moreover, I have a friend whose fashion, hobbeies, veiws and values are different from me. However, I enjoy talking with her because I get something from her and inspire me.
